BOXWOOD CLEANLINESS CERTIFIED

March 21, 2018

Boxwood Blight has become an increasingly strong concern across the US as new cases continue to emerge.  In February Tennessee imposed a quarantine to prevent the spread of the disease. Other states are following suit with tightened regulations.

Gold Hill Nursery, located in Oregon’s fertile Tualatin Valley has Always been Boxwood Blight free.   Gold Hill Nursery voluntarily participates in Oregon’s Boxwood Blight Cleanliness Program and is certified free of any Boxwood Blight.

You can feel confident of the high quality of plants you purchase from Gold Hill Nursery.  Our quality is home grown.  We never buy-in Boxwood plants from other nurseries, but instead always propagate from our own host plants.  We have a well trained team who regularly inspect for signs of disease. We regularly test and monitor for disease through Oregon State University and have a rigorous and continuous cleanliness program.

To assure the quality and cleanliness of our Boxwoods, when you visit Gold Hill Nursery, there are some areas where you can look, but you can’t touch.  We are happy for you to visit us, and it’s not that we love to chauffeur folks around, but we insist on using our vehicles to limit any possibilities of contamination or introduction by outside vehicles.  We don’t allow guests to get out of their cars in certain areas and this is to prevent accidental contamination or introduction from any other nurseries or locations.

Gold Hill Nursery is committed to producing the highest quality plants at the lowest possible cost.  We continually improve our processes and quality to deliver you the best product. You can rest assured that our teams are hard at work to provide you with worry free product that will meet the most stringent tests for cleanliness.  Contact your Sales Rep for more information and pricing today.
